LACSLink™ Return Codes

When a record is processed through LACSLink you will receive a two character return code indicating what happened to the record. These return codes are similar to the return codes generated by NCOALink™.

Return Code: A - LACSLink Match
The input record was matched to the LACSLink file. The converted address is provided in the standardized address fields.

Return Code: 00 - No Match
The input record was not matched to the LACSLink file.

Return Code: 14 - LACSLink Match: New Address Would Not Convert at Run Time
The input record was matched to the LACSLink file. However the new address could not be converted into a deliverable address. No converted address will be provided.

Return Code: 92 - LACSLink Match: Secondary Number Dropped from input address
The input record was matched to the LACSLink file. To achieve this match the secondary number was dropped from the input address. The converted address is provided in the standardized address fields.

Return Code: Blank - No LACSLink lookup made.
Addresses are passed into LACSLink processing when:

  • The address is found in the ZIP + 4 directory. The address was flagged as a LACS convertible record within the ZIP + 4 directory.
  • The address is found in the ZIP + 4 directory. Rural route or highway contract default assignment was made, but the record wasn't flagged as LACS convertible.
  • The address is not found in the ZIP + 4 directory, but the record contains enough information to be sent into LACSLink.
