Beyond 48 Months

NCOA stops at 48 months. PCOA Plus keeps going.

Rescue data that's gone years without attention — older moves, name changes, resident verification, and deceased flags, all in one premium pass.

NCOALink® has a hard limit: it covers moves filed with the USPS® in the last 48 months. If your data has sat longer than that — a lapsed-donor file, an old customer list, records from an acquisition — the moves you need most are exactly the ones NCOA can no longer see.

When 48 months isn't enough

Old data doesn't fail in just one way. People moved, some more than once. Names changed — marriages, corrections, the misspelling that's been there since the record was created. Some records point to addresses where that person hasn't lived in a decade. And some of the people in your data have passed away. A standard move update touches only the first problem, and only its most recent four years.

Four fixes in one pass

PCOA Plus runs your records against a LexisNexis® data repository linking more than 29,000 continually updated sources, with 35 years of archived history. Four things happen in one pass:

New addresses. Archived address history reaching decades beyond NCOALink's window — returning several times as many new addresses as NCOALink alone.

Name changes. Maiden names, initials, and misspellings are tracked down, so the record carries the name your customer actually uses now.

Resident verification. Each name-and-address pair is checked against current residents — so you know the person you're mailing still lives there.

Deceased identification. Sourced from the Social Security Administration and state and local governments, with records back up to 35 years.

What you get back

The most recent name and address for every matched record, coded wherever a discrepancy was found, all documented — your master data comes back genuinely rescued, not just patched for one mailing.

Where it fits

PCOA Plus doesn't replace NCOALink — NCOA is still required for USPS Move Update and still the right tool for recent moves. PCOA Plus is for the data NCOA can't reach anymore. Start with a conversation: we'll tell you whether your data needs the deep archive or just a standard update, before you ever send a file.

How it works

  1. Start with a conversation

PCOA Plus shines on data that's been neglected for years. If yours is updated regularly, you may not need it — and we'll tell you that before anything runs.

  2. We match against decades of archived history

Your records run against a LexisNexis data repository linking more than 29,000 continually updated sources, with 35 years of archived history — far beyond the 48-month window of NCOALink.

  3. Four checks in one pass

New addresses for people who moved, name changes tracked through maiden names and misspellings, verification that each name still matches its address, and deceased identification from government sources.

  4. Everything comes back coded and documented

The most recent name and address for each matched record, with coding wherever a discrepancy was found — so you can see exactly what changed and decide what to act on.
